Is it just me or are writers masochists by nature? I think we must be. Seriously. I’ve spent all day working on various projects. Any guesses where the results of all this hard work are?

That’s right. It all went straight to the trash. Nothing salvageable. Name me another profession where you slave all day only to throw it away in the end and happily get back to it again the next day.
In case you were wondering; Today’s original blog post landed in the recycle bin alongside everything else I worked on today.
Totally agree with you on that. I’d put down 70,000 words before realising that 80% of it was unusable. But the lessons I’ve learned are more valuable than the manuscript so I guess I’m all right there. Wishing you all the best in your writerly pursuits!

It’s really terrible what we put ourselves through, isn’t it? Honestly wouldn’t change a thing about it though. (Except maybe that “Once Upon a Time in Iowa” would be ready for publishing)
All the best back at you. 😉
