The other day I posted and the hunt is over…. I promised y’all that I’d get over there for some pictures. It’s been a long and crazy week of working and moving, but I finally managed to get the pics and get this post written.
So, without further ado….
Let me take you on a little tour of our new place.

When you walk in the front door, you immediately enter the living room. I was standing at the front door, in the living room, when I took this picture of the kitchen. That island counter looks so inviting. I am looking forward to sitting on a stool and writing at that island.

This is the island from the other side. From this side, I’m looking forward to cooking for my family (and someday my friends again). We’re looking forward to having a dishwasher as it’s been all handwashing here. And, y’all, look at all those cabinets and counters!

The laundry room is off of the kitchen. There’s actually a back door in there. With the washer and dryer provided, I will need to figure out what to do with the washing machine my husband had to buy me when ours quit during quarantine.

These will be the kids bedrooms. They’re basically the same. They have decent sized closets.

This is the main bath. Pretty basic. The kids will share it.

This is the master bedroom. It’s nice sized, but I’m sure it will shrink quickly when we begin to fill it with furniture and belongings.

The master features this giant walk-in closet. Hubby says I get the long side, and he’ll take the short side (you can almost see his section on the right).

These are all those drawers and shelves in the master bath that I was telling y’all about. It will take me forever to fill them with stuff.

It’s got a very large shower stall. There are two seats built in (you can see one in the photo) directly across from one another.

And then, there’s this beautiful tub! I am looking forward to a weekend soak. I’ve got a bag of Epsom salt ready to go. This tub features arm rests on either side. It is big enough for two.
no sleep ’til move in
We’ve been dropping boxes at the new place. Our plan is to finish moving over the weekend. I almost said and settled in, but I realize that may take a while. We’ll probably be living out of boxes for a bit, and we still have a storage unit full of stuff to bring home, too.
I hope you’ve enjoyed the tour of our new home. We can’t wait to be cozied in.
Very nice! You are going to love all that space. A nice kitchen is definitely a plus. Enjoy!
In answer to your question on the other post, the move was hell. That being said, we are moved in and LOVE our new house. Still unpacking. Shelving books is a feat. lol

I’m telling myself there’s no rush to the unpacking. I’m excited about the open floor plan.
Glad to hear y’all are loving it. I can’t even imagine moving across country right now. You’re one brave family!

Lol. Probably a little of both?!
It has been a bit chilly some days but beautiful. Hoping for a lovely weather weekend for moving.

Should be. At least it won’t be hot. It was so hot when we were packing and loading in Tennessee. So glad to be away from that furnace.
Happy moving!

Strange thing. We moved 4 miles up the road, and the temperature difference was noticeable. We’d be freezing by the old place and toasty warm here at the new house. So odd.
