I had a rather unusual encounter with a spider at work the other day. We had just come in from lunch break. There was a black spider about the size of a dime.
It was lying on its back on the floor. Its legs were curled up against its abdomen. At first glance, I thought it was dead.
I must have just knocked it down from its web when I opened the door. It was fit to be tied. It leapt up from its back and started swinging six of its eight legs at me.
I stood there, stunned, just staring at this crazy little arachnid. That was the first time I’d ever had a spider swing on me.
I was too surprised to think and didn’t snap its photograph. Later that same day when I entered the bathroom, I encountered a less feisty spider. I took its picture to include with this post.
