I’ve got news about Once Upon a Time in Iowa!

It’s been so long, y’all, that I can’t even tell you when the last time I worked on Once Upon a Time in Iowa was. It’s been a couple of years, and even then it was mostly just rewriting so that I felt like I was doing something to move the book along.

That all changed today. Today, I opened Once Upon a Time in Iowa, and I wrote. I wrote 1,346 words. I might have written more, but I bumped into a barricade and needed to dig out some old research.

The good news is that it is moving along again. I am so very excited. I was also surprised to remember just how far I’d already come in Mary Cardelia and Jesse’s story.

I’m off to do just a little research before I head to bed, which admittedly I should have done hours ago. I’m hoping to keep the momentum going with Once Upon a Time in Iowa tomorrow when I get home from shopping.
