Now that General Mills is discontinuing their Helper line, you may be in need of a delicious relatively easy-to-prepare ground beef stroganoff recipe. Look no further. I replaced the boxed dinner with this adaptation years ago, and my family has devoured it eagerly every time.
Ground Beef Stroganoff recipe

Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 onions, sliced
- 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 (4.5 oz) jars sliced mushrooms, drained
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 2 tsp parsley
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tsp dill
- 1 tsp Worcestershire
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 16 oz sour cream
Directions:

Melt butter. Cook onions until tender and translucent. Add garlic and mushrooms. Sautée for a few minutes, until garlic is fragrant. Set aside.
In the same pot, cook ground beef with parsley and salt. Drain and return to pot. Dump the onions, mushrooms, and garlic back in.
Mix in flour until well coated. Stir in beef broth, dill, Worcestershire, and salt. Bring to a simmer. Vent with lid and simmer over low, stirring occasionally for 25-29 minutes.
Fold in sour cream. Heat through. Serve over egg noodles.

Serve with:
Bake up some bread to sop up the delicious sauce. My family loves my awesome bread machine Italian bread.
